Creedmore means AR10 size rifle anyway.

The "problem" with AR10s is there is no standard. You have to watch which manufacturer you get the various components from.

Not sure about the AK platform itself but the 762x39 is a fine cartridge, and yes about equivalent in power to a 30-30 (125gr bullet at 2500fps) but better trajectory due to bullet shape. Either my AR uppers or my Howa mini in the caliber will shoot 2moa with cheap steel case ammo, hunting ammo is available, and it certainly has enough oomph for deer/pigs to 200 yards here in Florida which is a long shot for the most part in this area. Cheap and easy to reload for, easy to suppress, easy on the shoulders, and can be had in several light and handy non-EBR type rifles.
