Don't know what it is but is not bermuda. My entire yard is bermuda and it looks nothing like that. As SM says, it is heat/drought tolerant and is a very common grass is many parts of TX. Takes much less water than Saint Augustine and thrives best in full sun and does not do well under shade trees, areas which get little sunlight.
Most lawns around here are St. Augustine which requires much more water than bermuda but is shade tolerant.
