At my old house the kitchen cabinet had a small wet spot. I had to remove the cabinet that some previous owner installed, and found lead pipes for the drains. All the drinking water was new copper.
This was back in the 1980s and I was still almost funny to walk into a hardware store (before the big bog stores) and ask for a coupling for PVC to lead. I finally found an old school plumber shop that had the proper boot, and I fixed my problem, and put the cabinet back in. THe next person to remove it will like my screws and not the nails I fought with.
