Quick is rate of acceleration. Fast is velocity.
The Plaid is certainly fast as it has a top speed of the 80s supercars, but not anywhere near the fastest top speed.
That track time is slower than the old Viper with the boat anchor, pushrod ICE and bad tires not to mention almost a minute slower than a current 911.
Plus, how many laps can the Plaid do per day? How would it do at Le Mans?
So no, I do not consider t to be the fastest production car in the world as you stated.
