Meant to post this earlier in the week as the word on the street or down my local pub from a very reliable source is they will join when the new engine is introduced in 2026
Seidl at McLaren is ex-Porsche, Capito at Williams is ex-VW, Dominicalli at FIA is ex-Lamborghini/Audi so some strong links at board level to both brands
Proposed new engine will keep V6 turbo architecture but no MGU-H (to complicated and not relevant to road cars) with a much higher % of battery power
