I wear the finish off of pretty much every casual belt I have ever owned. I think my sweat may be particularly caustic or salty or something. I also don't wear watches unless they are stainless or titanium because otherwise the usual timex/casio plated pot metal cases eventually start to corrode and pit. I've had buckles that looked like chrome or brushed steel/nickel, where the finish wore off and the metal underneath was unappealing.

It is a very nice looking belt though. I'm tempted.
