I don’t mean to insult your diagnostic ability, but what led you too the conclusion the pump is bad? Did you hot wire it to the battery and find it doesn’t spin anymore? Or does it spin but just NEVER pumped fuel? Was the pump working for you at one time and then stopped?
From what I hear the motors rarely just stop spinning, but could happen. If the motor spins but just doesn’t pump fuel, it could be a problem with the head orientation in relation to the motor. If that's off the motor will spin but won't pump. Or the motor shaft will jam up against the sidewall of the pump head and wont spin but just “click”. For that to happen someone would have needed to go and change that orientation.
If you know the motor is indeed bad, send me an email so we can hook up. I can send you a pump motor for the price of shipping. The head is off of it, which is perfect for you. All you need to do is swap the head from your pump and put it on my motor. It's a fairly simple task (4 screws).
