I am assembling my 83 SC 3.0 USA spec engine after top end rebuild, keeping it entirely stock. I just noticed that a couple of the CIS parts that have been running for at least the past 25 years on this engine are not the correct part numbers. The Warm Up Regulator is an “089” but should be “090”. And the Aux Air Regulator is a “209” but should be “218”.

Questions:

1) should I keep running either (or both) of these items as-is?

2) can either of these items be adjusted to function like the correct part?

3) should I track down the correct parts?

Help me consider my options, please.
