I was only there once in the late 80's... Me and a friend rode our motorcycles from Ohio there to stay a few nights free in my mother and sister's summer apt. My little sis was a model for Ford Agency for two summers there. My mother and sister loved it, but it was not for me. Walking the streets it smelled like garbage
everywhere. The subways
all smelled like urine. Walking around times square was fun for a couple hours, but I truly could never live in such a place even if it no longer smells like garbage and urine like it did back then. I can't stand any cities now and much prefer the freedom and peace/quiet of living in a rural area. I don't get the attraction for some but as I stated earlier, my mom and little sister loved it.
