Here's another pic of my car sitting "too low", but at least I drive it.

I’m not poo-pooing, just making my observation that form should follow function. If your car is the right height for how you use it, good for you.

I sold it before I move to Central OR, but it spent years in SoCal and did miles of mountain backroads east of San Diego (lots of rough roads) and got trailered up to Monterey area many times to drive roads there. All with no problem. Having said that, my 993 is similarly low and has never been an issue. Potholes can damage a car at any height. As to 4 months out of the year-it’s the cinders spread during the winter and possible snow on the roads that keeps my car parked. Not anything to do with potholes or height.
The fact is, both of these cars had all of their final height, alignment and corner blalance done by Jae Lee, one of the best Porsche suspension guys in the US. Until you’ve driven a particular car, your comments are strictly speculation.

That’s a shame, you’re missing out on the best 911 driving central OR has to offer. We are blessed to live somewhere that’s doesn’t use road salt and has a countless number of roundabouts and backroads. With a good set of snow tires and 6”of fresh snow there isn’t many things that compare to a 911 on deserted early morning roads.
