I actually saw the effect of that happen, worked in a cabinet shop and in the rear corner was a cinder block electrical room for the whole mall. It had a wood roof and from over the years it had all kinds of wood dust on it. We were working when there was a sudden huge BOOM, dust flying everywhere.
An electrician shorted a 600v main, blew all kinds of 600v fuses at $100 a pop and a spark hit him right square in the glasses, burned right into the glass. For sure he would have lost an eye without them.
Pretty sure he got fired.
