Yes, many doctors stopped prescribing daily doses unless you were at risk (family history or other factor). ..although a low-dose (81 mg) baby aspirin is really not a lot. I also carry some with me on my key chain (hearing aid battery case)...as I don't go anywhere without keys. If you believe you might be having a heart attack, you are to chew 2 immediately (if on the aspirin daily regimen), but if you are not, chew 4. Supposedly a much higher chance of survival.
