We live about 30 miles from the largest salt mine in the US. So transportation of salt is not too expensive for the road crews around here. Every time a few flakes start to fall, out come the salt trucks. Now with the lake effect snow we get, that is just about everyday! So there are very few cars around here that are over 15 years old that are driven year round.
