I borrowed a buddies dualie F250 dual cab, long bed, work truck that had a full pipe rack on top. I felt like I was driving a aircraft carrier. I was really happy to be back in my 914 after that.
From what I understand is the modern pickups actually ride OK, and they sure have all the options. But they can cost 60 grand and more. One of my friends is a professional welder. He has a business and needs a real truck. He has a F350, long bed, crew cab and he drives a lot delivering the custom trailers he manufactures for another company. He spent a breathtaking sum on it.
