My Ingersol Rand Impact wrench
I have a Ingersol Rand 2132G impact wrench. I have had it since 2004 or so, and it really does not get that much use as I only work on my cars.
I pulled it out of the tool drawer today and hooked up the air hose and the it started spinning at a decent speed. No impact noises, and I could just squeeze the socket to get it to stop and put it on a nut to remove.
I do use some impact gun oil fairly often, but I have not done any other maintenance or work on it. It worked fine last time I used it.
I see rebuild kits from the entire innards to "input repair kits" and I am wondering if the brain trust has any advice. Is rebuilding an impact wrench fairly easy, or is it a nightmare.
