I had an issue with my brake warning light.
Turned out to be a failed switch on the master cylinder that tells you when the hydraulic brake system has failed.
Before you go to the heroics of adjusting the parking brake switch, pull the electrical connector off of the switch on the master cylinder and see if that fixes it.
