The Malibu Country Village, across the street from the Country Mart, is having a problem with pop-up car gatherings in their lot. It's funny because I have been going to the Mart for years and occasionally see old car guys with Pebble Beach level iron show up but had no idea this was happening. I was in the Village lot a couple of years ago(?) and saw Seinfeld and one of his friends parking one of his Porsches but thought nothing of it...I guess this was the result.
The title refers to the way that problems are ranked; having gangrene and needing a limb amputated while living in a tent or a double-wide is a low quality problem. Trying to decide between Aspen and Cabo for Christmas is a high quality problem. People in Malibu tend to have high quality problems, until a wildfire comes through. Then they have actual, real world problems.
People driving crazy with loud pipes has really increased during the pandemic...it's as if every scumbag in town can suddenly afford a new Charger Hellcat w straight pipes. Owners of weed dispensaries and more skilled pandemic relief scammers tend to favor McLarens and Lambo SUVs. What they all have in common is straight pipes. As a life long, die-hard gearhead, I want to lob a grenade in some of those cars.
