This. I've thrown out more than a few expensive inkjets.
When I shop printers, I really shop replacement cartridges. Once bought a color laser that came with starter cartridges, not realizing the cartridge replacements would cost more than a new printer.
For me it's been Dell color lasers, and Brother for B&W/scan. Brother has an iPhone app that will scan to PDF, and print from the phone.
