I fell in love with vintage Polk SDA speakers in the late 80s.... own three pairs still, but they need gobs of power, not for volume per se, but "just because"....

A pair of Polk SDAs (170 lbs each) and a pair of Carver amps (bridged mono) rated at 1000 watts each will simply rock your world...
