Genius! I was bummed when they changed the interchanges between 45 and the various surface streets from the old cloverleaf model (no stop lights/signs) to the new model, but I do understand it was necessary to the expansion.
I've been almost hit and run off the road at double turn lanes when I was in the "outside" lane in and around Houston many times over the years. I've actually been hit when I was in the outside turn lane and the person in the inside turn lane drifted over.
I believe that's a problem with the fact that we have double turn lanes and at the same time, it's legal in Texas to turn into any lane you want. Versus something like FL where if you turn, you must turn into the nearest lane.
