That's a great idea. With many vehicles, part of the drain tube is soft material and you do not want to shove anything sharp or not flexible in the hole. You can cause a perma-leak that is basically impossible to repair. Water in interior forever.
Going at them from the bottom is generally advised; clear the blockage and then rinse w hot soapy water, then compressed air from the top.
