Crystal City Sports Pub is a little (ok a lot) less polished but has killer daily deals. On 23rd St but across the highway from the hotels and the restaurant strip.

My wife retired from the Forrestal Bldg. She worked for NNSA when we were in Abq. I worked nearby the Forrestal (walking distance) and went over there for the Dunkin Donuts in the basement to get a dozen now and then. There is a Hill Country Barbeque up the street on 7th that is pretty good (brisket), but a little pricey like all DC.
