That does look odd. I did this job years ago and searched far and wide to find a glue that actually worked, found some esoteric 3M adhesive that was supposed to work on steel and rubber under extreme conditions. It didn't, the first time I drove it in really cold weather the adhesion broke and I got low squeak over bigger bumps. I've gotten to where I ignore it...maybe I should have just used super glue. Since yours came pre attached maybe they will stick.
