Bought first air-cooled 911 in 1990 for $7k. Bought and sold them over the years with the most recent one just last month. While the price of admission has kept on increasing, the proceeds from sales have also gone up. So overall, air-cooled P car ownership/driving/racing has been a relatively inexpensive hobby. And I have been able to experience/appreciate various vintages…and other car marques.
Speaking of other marques, I got to drive a Evora LF1 a couple of weeks ago. Especially for the $ IMHO, its driving experience rivals other contemporary marques. Very underrated, I believe.
So I say go for it. No regrets.
