This is a very subjective question. For us, a lot of time the TV is on for background noise. That's it. But the wife wanted to watch the new season of Doctor Who, so I signed up for Philo. Probably the cheapest service that has live TV, but come the Monday after signing up we couldn't find a damn thing worth watching on any of their 60+ channels. So I dumped it after the free trial. I told her we could get a month of AMC+ and she could catch up on that.
Most of the time I'll watch something on broadcast TV, or Pluto is a free service that has some interesting stuff, sometimes.
I had Sling for a couple of years, but they kept dropping channels and raising prices, and I finally had enough. We still have Netflix, and maybe over Christmas I'll sign up for Disney+, need to catch up on the Marvel stuff. We'll probably drop it after we're caught up.
