When my wife and I originally received the Moderna shot and then later the follow on booster we were not under the illusion that we can't get Covid . We got the shots knowing if/when we get Covid our chances of survival are greatly increased . Our goal is staying out of the hospital and off a ventilator .
We get a flu shot every year , again we know that doesn't guarantee we won't get the flu . But it increases our chances of fighting it off if we do get it . There are too many strains for a one shot miracle cure . I think too many people are looking for a one shot or one pill miracle cure to every ailment/disease they have . In most cases it's not going to happen . But that doesn't mean modern medicine/vaccines aren't effective . Just my opinion .
