This would be for a young'un after passing hunter safety and really likes the AR platform.

I myself have an armalite AR-10 7.62x51. I understand the 6.5 Creedmore has better balistics for long range but not significant enough for me.
308-762 is more readily avaialable and more cost effective and why I went with the AR-10 in 308.
