I saw the headline (didn't read the article), but at the time, wondered more if local universities/news were publishing similar local research articles in their own hometowns.

Evidently they are!

Makes me wonder what other local research is being highlighted across the country without national headlines.

Makes you wonder why it's found primarily in local news. The vaccine being developed by Army scientists at Walter Reed is actually what brought me to the news about UNC and Duke. I had heard about it earlier in the year but never heard much beyond that so I was looking to see where things were at with it.
