One day on the way home, I saw some stains on the road which kind of reminded me of liquid manure spilled. The stain ran from the edge of town to a driveway a couple of miles away. When I mentioned it to a friend a few days later he told me what it was.
Saturday night, one of the locals got wasted and crawled in under a truck parked across the street from the bar. How he got his leg hooked over the rear axle, no one knew. The owner of the truck came out some time later, jumped into his vehicle and drove home . When he got out in his yard, he heard some strange noises from underneath. He first thought it was a dog, then realized what it was and called 911. The fellow lived, but required some skin grafts.
It took a couple of weeks for the stains to wash away.
