I'm not sure what the intent of the OP started by Tabs. But I would consider the Righteous Brothers one of the first Blue Eyed soul acts. To me it is not about gospel music but in the style of which the song was written and played. Others have followed including Steve Winwood but to me, he is more Rock and Roll.
I love the body of work the Rascals but IMO, they don't fit. Hall and Oats, does. Live from Daryl's House is very good. Robert Palmer did several songs that fit (and great video on MTV). Tom Jones should be included although I can take him in small amounts..
