Every game there’s two, maybe three dropped passes that were in the receivers’ hands. The Gronk drops at least one every game.

Then there’s three or four passes just inches out of reach.

Part of Brady’s success is how he extracts excellence from his receivers. At this point, dropping a Brady pass is not the same as dropping somebody else’s pass. If you drop a Brady pass you are getting in the way of history.

The passes that are inches out of reach appear to me more often than not to be the result of pushing the envelope rather than poor passes. These guys know the ball is gonna be delivered darn close to where and when it should be and where and when the receiver should be-if everybody does their part.
