Imagine where the points would have been if Max hadn't been so unlucky in Baku, shunted off in Silverstone, and had other issues in Hungary. It wouldn't have been close at all.
Ditto for 2008. Massa drug the fuel rig down the pitlane and scored zero points in Singapore IIRC. Didn't score in Australia, Malaysia, GBR, Hungary, Singapore
Fans and at times players/drivers focus on one thing when there is a much larger body of work that when taken in total make up the entire thing. Sure, a place kicker misses a field goal to win the game, but if there hadn't been so many dropped TD passes or fumbles there wouldn't have been a need to kick a long FG for the last second win.
