Yea, like all forms of racing, just throw enough money at it, and call it whatever you want. Most of NASCAR is the identical car, with the only real change is the engine block the badge on the front.
One thing that I like about F1 is very smart engineers start with a rule book, and a blank computer program, and build unique cars and come up with different designs and then go racing. The only parts on F1 cars that are interchangeable are the wheels and tires, and that is a rule that all cars use the same wheels and tires.
