It was a pretty ballsy move on their part. Obviously, the public regards the drivers championship to be the more important one and they succeeded in winning that. However, the constructors championship went to Mercedes, so they couldn’t be a part of winning a constructors title and there’s no engine manufacturers title, which Mercedes would have also won anyway.
So, Mission accomplished? Or not quite?
First title they’ve been a part of in 30 years, though.
