We are getting close to the end of the year, and that is when all of our software licenses seem to renew. The credit card is smoking. Some are not really due until next month, but might as well get the expenses on this year's taxes.
It is almost funny how different some software packages manage their licenses. One company had us pay the full amount up front, and then sent myself and my business partner an email with a one time log in, and a code to log in with. Then we got the insane long user license key to keep or software current.
One package is twice as expensive, and the software "calls home" and checks with the company to be sure we are legit, but it is laid back and easy. As long as we know our username and password the software works.
