Prices are a bit all over the place on 912s at the moment.
Low sales on BAT are $30k but few and far between. Higher / typical are around the $40k+. Some wild prices there too in the $80s, but due to the history, this car will never be one of those without a special engine in it.

Private sales are around $30k upwards for a nice running, non concours, non rotten Sunday driver car. They are hard to find though.

Beverly Hills Car Club have been pushing their prices up for 912s for a while and seem to have met the ‘sticking point’ where the cars don’t seem to be moving very quickly any more.

At the $2k current price, it’s worth all that and more in parts. Assuming the engine and trans are good, you could probably buy it for up to $4.5k and if it was too much for you, get your money back by parting it out.

Not sure I would personally put that one back together, but I’m sure there are worse that have been returned to the road. There is a surprising amount of work getting a front ended car hit that hard, back tracking straight and true again - especially for an amateur like me.

Maybe someone on 912BBS forums knows the car.

This is all due to change literally on a month by month basis as the markets for classics flow due to time of year and people’s financial optimism.
