Update: Installed some 9012's in the Land Cruiser's 9006 (I think? Low Beam)sockets last night. A simple clip of the plastic tab around the bulb made it fit nicely.
Nice and bright. Yay.
Have some LED's to put into the subaru. I suspect that re-aiming is very much in the future.
