Ok, I admit it. I'm OCD when it comes to hardware. I have a new set of Fuchs heading my way and I'm obsessing about the details, specifically the tire stems.
Yes, the good 'ol rubber stems would work fine. But then theirs the issue of stem flex at speed, requiring support tabs, blah, blah, blah, and the further you dig, most recommend metal stems.
If you dig deeper, the really cool guys use alloy stems
