The only other thing I will add is that there's shift quality and there is wear. Some of the synthetics will feel great when the gearbox is freshly rebuilt, but they will accelerate wear, and if we bump this thread in a couple of years, it wouldn't surprise me if some of these people have needed to refresh their box because of worn synchros.

Yo Matt! I bought a bunch of Motul HD 80w90. About to pour it in but then realized that my gearbox probably isn't stock.
I just chimed in on this thread with what I know about it. Wondering if you would still suggest the same oil based on this new information?
