On alcohol: There's nothing wrong with having a few drinks with friends.

I often drink a beer as I'm cooking a BBQ at home but rarely more than one. Wine is good with company. Scotch when I feel like celebrating. But I don't drink everyday. Maybe once or twice a week but sometimes I can go many weeks without touching anything with alcohol in it.

If you find yourself drinking alone that's generally the start of problems IMO.
