I haven't bought a grill in, well ever. Got a hand me down early on. Then with every Army move, I would get one from a neighbor when their household goods were delivered. Usually the movers would break them and the Army would pay the owners for a new one. I would get their old "broken" one and fix it.
Actually sold a 'broken' one that I got from the neighbor's trash that the Army had paid for after movers broke it. I used it for a couple of years, got the Army to pay for its move to my next location, then I sold it when I got the next one from the trash.
This one I got from someone that just didn't want to fix a wear item part, so they put it out with the garbage. Cracks me up that some people can't repair anything.
