This guy thought he was slick...and he was a bit different. Instead of getting called out with one or two posts, he spent a couple days commenting on various threads building up his post count. Then he responded to my WTB with a PM claiming to have the part himself...instead of refering me to a second person that has the part at a great price.
My first warning was when I replied to his email and asked for a picture. He replied, "picture of what"? I reminded him of his PM to me claiming to have the part. He then "shopped" the picture off the internet (as it turns out from a friend I know on ESR) and claimed the same item discription...down to the exact word, at of course an unbelievable price...or best offer! So be careful guys...they are getting wise to us and this low post count thing. They now know that if they invest some time to build up the post count, they appear to be more credible. Trust, but verify.

*EDIT*...they may be building up the post count (with stupid meaningless posts) knowing that they will appear to be legit for a very short period of time...maybe only a couple days, before they get found out and banned. Do your due diligence and check out their recent posts. If they are short, non-constructive or oblivious...they are just building up what they consider to be legitimacy. Another red flag would be if they have zero started threads me thinks.
