And comments by the OP and others pointing out the flaws still didn’t dissuade bidders from going to $78k. As was pointed out: overall scruffy interior with severely worn carpet by the pedal box and the gearshift knob that the seller chose not to replace, the ridiculous (or worse) painting of the underside of the engine, an “engine-out” reseal that doesn’t look like it along with a crumbling sound pad laying on the engine.
The seller showed it, warts and all. I hope the buyer is actually happy with it. But man, I can imagine it rolling off the trailer and after 10 minutes of looking at it…big time buyer’s remorse. Go figure.
I saw the recent engine out service and saw the sound pad laying on the engine. “Caveat Emptor” I was shocked no one mentioned it. Unfortunately, probably a first time buyer.

I anxiously watched this auction. I have 88 targa bat is going to list. Mine is a 144 k mile gem in comparison to this one and I don’t expect anything near 78k.

The Blue/gray brought the premium. 991 cup wheels meh.
