I have dug around and read some write ups that describe this process, and while I will hit the "I believe" button, am trying to find a couple of used lock cylinders at a low enough cost that I can foul things up learning, then get it right putting it back together.
Appreciate the calm voice of reason, but I am not looking forward to breaking everything down since I have a pretty good slugging average of breaking things in the process of fixing. But that is the game I think.
