There was a stop in Sylmar/San Fernando before the train headed to Sun Valley.

I've ridden the train before, travel time between San Fernando and Sun Valley is approx 7 minutes. Seems like there would be enough time to notify.
You'd think that with all of the self driving cars and the various systems in place on a lot of cars that they could/would put something similar on those trains. They could use the adaptive cruise control. I think that they could safely skip the lane departure warning system. But, since I'm not that kind of engineer, I'm assuming it's 1 not that easy or 2 no one is willing to pay for it (probably more the latter than the former).
