When we went to Utah's Dinosaur National park, it has a really nice open range road, and we had to stop and wait for cattle to get off the road. I let them have right of way!
I even had to drive through genuine fresh bull crap. When we got to the end of the road there was a very primitive outhouse, and bear proof dumpsters. The trail head is right there for a really cool one mile hike out to a wonderful view. We only saw one other couple, so it was opposite of the Grand Canyon.
We got there early in the morning before it got too hot, but as two old out of shape folks it was a long hike round trip. It was just a few weeks before I had my hip replaced, so I was really feeling the discomfort.
I have a selfie of the two of us looking like two hot sweaty people and we were not pretending or acting. I think I posted it somewhere on the thread back when it happened.
