I shared this on Faceplant and got lots of positive comments however one of friends posted this...
"No way - inhumane!!"
I get were she's coming from but the people that train these elephants love them like their own children. I don't think they would do something like this if the elephant was distressed by it. But we can't really know for sure however I see no sign of distress in this photo. If I did I wouldn't have shared it.
They way I see it: These animals would have little to no value if they couldn't show them which also means they couldn't afford to keep and feed them.
Thoughts?
