And apparently these guys were pretty sharp, as both received technical PhDs (though with a low academic rating). Per Wikipedia:
"Grichka Bogdanoff received a Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the University of Burgundy (Dijon) in 1999. In 2002, Igor Bogdanoff received a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Burgundy. Both brothers received the lowest passing grade of "honorable"."
They were also both involved in an academic scandal where they were accused of creating nonsense research for an academic journal, so who knows where their heads were at.
