Most parking lots are single lines, but I occasionally run into some that have double lines. It does help. I'm sure we don't have the market cornered, but around here, you can very nearly get blocked into a park if a kind cab dually parks next to you at an angle with their rear end overlapping your park by a 6-12" because they are at an angle in a park that's meant to be straight.
I've known folks that drove large trucks that could put them in a spot straight and perfectly centered. Then I've seen other folks that couldn't do it to save their lives.
