Yeah, good question. Thanks for posting those links.
~20 years ago the "solid bet" was on supercapacitors. Not sure that actually went anywhere but maybe we're all still behind on the development curve. My opinion: Any lithium-based battery technology will be the future target of the next "let's go green initiative", but probably occur for a few years of investing.
